Workshops for gatherings.

A room of people who already know each other, an hour or two, and something real said out loud. Lighter than the deep work and still not a party trick.

Why people ask me in

Some rooms are full of people who care about each other and still mostly talk around things. A birthday where everyone is genuinely glad to be there. A farewell, a reunion, a weekend away, the last night before someone moves. Nobody is in trouble. It is only that the good conversations stay at the surface and everyone in the room knows it.

You do not need a facilitator because something has gone wrong. You need one because the evening you actually wanted does not happen by itself. Somebody has to ask the question that makes the room go quiet, and it is rarely the host.

What happens

I bring the structure and I hold the room. That means I ask things people can genuinely answer, and I keep it safe enough that they do. Nobody has to be the first one to say the real thing, because nobody is being asked to perform.

It is lighter than the one to one work. I am not going underneath anything, nobody is being fixed, and there is no expectation that anyone confesses in front of their friends. What I bring is the same attention I bring to a leadership team. I listen properly, I notice what the room keeps circling, and I hand it back plainly.

It is warm and usually funny. The laughing is part of the point rather than a detour from it.

What you get

An evening people still refer to afterwards. Not because it was well organised, but because for an hour everyone in the room was actually present with each other.

As the host you get to be a guest at your own party. For that stretch the holding is my job and you are off it, which is the part people thank me for most.

And the group gets the thing nobody can buy. A shared moment where someone said something true and the room let them say it.

How to arrange one

Tell me the occasion, who will be there, roughly how many, and how long I have. I will tell you honestly whether it suits the room, and if it does not, I will say so rather than take the booking.

Formats, group sizes and pricing are arranged per event rather than sold off a list, so you hear what it costs in the first reply instead of guessing.

Note for Alex: this is written from the shape of the work rather than your actual formats. Send me what you really run, how long it lasts and what you charge, and I will make it specific.
